Dr. Forhair Renews Contract with Costco

First US launch of brand's Folligen Original Shampoo sold 18,000 units at 50 locations in three weeks.

Scalp care brand Dr. Forhair has renewed a one-year contract with Costco following the successful launch of its Folligen Original Shampoo.

The shampoo reportedly sold 18,000 units at 50 US locations in three weeks during its first offline launch. After successfully selling online to the US market, the clinically proven hair loss prevention shampoo was launched in stores in October 2023 across 50 American Costco branches.

The shampoo was sold in Florida, New York, Hawaii, and New Jersey with heavy focus on California. The success of the brand's first US in-store launch, the company says, acts as a “swift segue” into a renewed one-year contract with Costco, which will begin June 2024 in 250 Costco branches.

“The root of why our product is well-loved by consumers is the deep trust and confidence that they have for our brand,” said Phillip Kwon, vice president at Wyatt Corp. “Over the years, we've honed superior quality, outstanding value, and earned our consumers' trust as a result.”

“High Customer Satisfaction” Rate

According to the brand, Dr. Forhair has led the scalp solutions market in Korea with its focus on clinical evidence that has repeatedly resulted in customer satisfaction rate of 99.9% for improvements in odor and oily scalp, forelock and side hair volume, and cleanliness.

Along with preventing hair loss, the Folligen Original Shampoo offers clinically proven scalp solutions, lowering excess sebum and dead skin cells, while boasting anti-aging effects in four weeks. These include boosting elasticity, shine and moisture, per the brand.

Moreover, it has received an “excellent” rating for the skin stability test by Global Dermatology Research Institute's Dermatest, showing it to be free of silicon oil, sulfates, and surfactant parabens as well as being hypoallergenic and color safe.

The two-pack of 750ml Folligen Original Shampoo bottles will be made available in Costco once again this month.
